More than 40 young women lined up at the Siren Bar in Gungahlin on Wednesday night for the 2014 Myer Face of Canberra Racing model search.

Each year prior to the running of the Seppelt Black Opal Stakes, the call for entrants to local ladies between the ages of 18-35 to take part in the judging process to find the right "face". From the forty-six entrants, organisers say they are looking for "someone with immaculate presentation, someone who is fashion savvy and willing to become Canberra Racing’s ambassador".

Finalists will then be personally styled by Myer and Sofia Polak and parade on Preview Day in, Sunday 23 February with the winner to be announced later that day.
