But women remain significantly under-represented, again accounting for roughly a third of candidates, a similar proportion to the past two ACT Legislative Assembly elections.

The full list of candidates for the ACT's five electorates and their ballot positions were announced on Thursday, as the official campaign reaches the close of week two of its five-week duration.

Both major parties will continue to make pre-election spending commitments on Friday, although neither has yet outlined any substantial plan to curb spending or boost revenue.

The Liberals will announce $3.5 million to boost mental health services, including $500,000 of grants to early intervention services addressing youth mental illness – an area plagued by delayed treatment times and chronic under-resourcing.

They would also provide $3 million for extra orderly and security staff at the ACT's adult mental health units, continue the secure mental health unit project, and recruit six new government mental health nurses.

On Thursday, the Liberals announced they would provide $300,000 for a spinal injury rehabilitation program, NeuroMoves, to the ACT.

Labor, meanwhile, will use Friday to pledge to set up another co-operative marketing fund to try to attract new airlines to Canberra.

The commitment would see $770,000 committed to an airline partnership fund over four years, which would be available to airlines through an agreement with the ACT government that would help market and promote new or expanded flights.

The funding will be made available either to low-cost airlines or additional international carriers looking to add routes to Canberra.
