The alleged boss of a jailhouse drug syndicate has been bailed so he can take part in a residential rehabilitation program.

Thor Kristiansen, 26, convinced the ACT Supreme Court he had committed himself to reform after a new year's resolution to get clean and turn his life around.
But Justice Richard Refshauge, in granting bail, warned Kristiansen not to abuse the court's trust.
"One toe out of line and you'll be back in the [Alexander Maconochie Centre]," Justice Refshauge said.
He has pleaded not guilty to charges of drug trafficking, conspiracy, drug possession, participating in a criminal group, having a phone in jail, and money laundering.
He has - along with other alleged syndicate member Ryan Malec, 26, Bianca Rasic, 24, Anthony John Hagen, 55, and Menka Krsteska, 23 - been committed to stand trial in the ACT Supreme Court.
Police allege the group used smuggled mobile phones to direct a web of convicted criminals, gang members and a Sydney-based Chinese drug cook to import drugs into the ACT from Sydney.
The court heard police phone intercepts allegedly recorded Kristiansen arrange the supply of ice from the Sydney drug cook, and direct the collection and delivery of drugs, money and other contraband.
Police raids targeting the syndicate last year allegedly seized $85,000 cash and about 830 grams of drugs.
Kristiansen last week told the court he hoped the intensive rehabilitation program would arm him with the skills to break free of his lawless life and become a stable father for his family.
The court heard he had completed jail courses, enrolled in education, and returned clean drug tests since his new year's resolution. But, with the completion of his existing sentence, Kristiansen became a remandee, which meant he had reduced access to in-house jail programs.
Kristiansen asked to attend residential rehabilitation in order to pursue reform.
Justice Refshauge found Kristiansen had shown a commitment to reform and granted bail as his rehabilitation would be in the interests of the community.
But the judge warned the accused of the hardships he faced in rehabilitation, and encouraged him to make the most of the opportunity to escape a live of drug abuse and crime.
