Another accident at Canberra Hospital

Date

Christopher Knaus

A motorbike has been hit this morning at the same pedestrian crossing as last night's fatal hit and run.

It comes as police revealed they expected the driver of the stolen car that ran a red light and killed a woman crossing the road outside Canberra Hospital last night will be charged by the end of today.

The motorcycle and a car collided  along Yamba Drive about 9am, leaving the motorcyclist injured and requiring treatment.

Paramedics were on scene about 9.10am, as were firefighters and police.

Traffic is slower through the northbound lanes of Yamba Drive but one  lane is still open.

The accident took place at the same pedestrian crossing where a woman was fatally hit by a stolen car last night.
