Canberra, get your dance pants on and prepare to send-off 2017 with a bang - electonic musicians Art vs Science have been announced as the headline act at the capital's New Year's Eve in the City celebrations.

Whether 2017's been good to you or not, its final hours are guaranteed to have you strutting to Art vs Science's hits Parlez Vous Francais, Magic Fountain and Flippers.
The ARIA award-winning trio will be supported by local acts Brass Knuckle Brass Band and Harry Carman at New Year's Eve in the City, which kicks off in Civic Square at 7pm.
Free, all-ages dance party Bass in the Place starts in Garema Place at 9pm, straight after an early fireworks show.
DJ Ember - of Ministry of Sound fame - is the headliner, with local DJs Blanke, Clique and Peter Kiemann also playing sets to welcome in 2018.
A huge fireworks display will light up the sky at midnight.
"With the main festivities commencing from 7pm, Canberrans will enjoy live entertainment, access to a range of the city's best food trucks and front-row seats to the firework displays," Minister for the Arts and Community Events Gordon Ramsay said.
Both celebrations are free, all-ages events and are alcohol and glass free.
