Football Federation Australia chief executive David Gallop has been made a member of the Order of Australia in the General Division for his services to sports administration.

The former Canberra Grammar School and ANU student spent a decade as the boss of the NRL before taking on the top job with the FFA in November, 2012.
He also served as deputy chairman of the Australian Sports Commission and as secretary of the Rugby League International Federation.
"It's humbling to be recognised in this way. I will enjoy Australia Day and the huge importance of sport to the community," Mr Gallop said.
"My current role with football is one where I have great confidence and ambition for the sport.
"I have been privileged to lead the national body in a process to regenerate the Socceroos on and off the pitch, which was the foundation of the Asian Cup victory on home soil.
"I'm equally proud of the decision to give top priority to the Matildas' preparations for the World Cup last year, which enabled the team to achieve great results and capture the imagination of sports fans.
"The Socceroos and Matildas show that football can help build a bridge to the rest of the world for Australia; politically, socially and economically."
