The 47-year-old man was last heard from on Friday afternoon, when he spoke to coworkers after leaving his home in Bega in his Mazda ute.
There were concerns for his welfare, due to a medical condition that required medication, and police called for public assistance to locate the man early on Saturday morning.
His body was found inside his ute on a fire trail in Mumbulla State Forest late on Sunday morning.
A crime scene was established and forensic officers called in to investigate, however police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
