'Body' identified in creek

ACT Policing has identified the body found at Jerrabomberra Creek Sunday afternoon as a deceased pig.

Police originally attended the scene in Symonston after responding to a report of a body being found, wrapped in a tarp.

Four men who were fishing located what police said appeared to be a body at about 2.15pm Sunday.

A police spokesperson initially said that forensic officers would remove the materials from the site for further testing at the forensic centre.

When AFP forensic officers removed the tarp, they found a deceased pig.
