ACTION chief operating officer Bren Burkevics said the extreme heat in the ACT had placed stress on the 400-strong fleet and some buses were in need of repair.

Workers would recommence servicing the buses from 6am so it was not yet known how many services would be affected.
Mr Burkevics apologised for the inconvenience and encouraged communters to check action.act.gov.au for up to date information on the delays.
