In The City, now entering its fourth year as the capital’s favourite glossy magazine, showcases Canberra’s hottest young designer and his latest glam creation on the cover of its Autumn 2013 edition.
With Canberra Institute of Technology prodigy and Project Runway Australia winner Anthony Capon on its cover, In The City’s new “fashion edition” also explores Lonsdale’s Street’s hipster shopping haven, who’s who and what’s hot in the city’s boutique scene, Canberra photographer Robert Coppa’s adventures in LA and much more.
Since its launch as a one-off magazine in the summer of 2009 in conjunction with Canberra CBD Ltd, In the City has grown to become Canberra’s premier quarterly gloss publication.
In the City creative director Miled “Mils” Achi said the magazine was more committed than ever to exploring the fashion, food and fun of the cosmopolitan heart of the city, as well as celebrating the creative talent nurtured in the national capital.
“We are unabashedly a lifestyle magazine,” Achi said. “We’re here to highlight and promote the features of the city.”
Winner of the Best Feature or Supplement in the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers’ Association (PANPA) Advertising Awards in 2010 and 2011, In The City celebrated its third anniversary late last year with a glamorous red-carpet rooftop soiree.
Between cocktails, canapés and a catwalk full of futuristic fashions, a who’s who of the Canberra business community toasted the success of In The City and its creative team.
