The ACT has the fastest annual economic growth rate in the nation, according to the latest snapshot of the national capital, to be published on Monday.

Chief Minister Andrew Barr said the report showed the territory was rebounding from the economic hit inflicted by the federal government's cuts.
Despite its positive headline, the CommSec Research State of the States report says economic conditions in the ACT are mixed, .
"Indicators are mixed and the jobless rate is rising," it says.
The quarterly report shows the ACT again ranked sixth in the nation on overall economic performance.
"ACT is best on housing finance and economic growth (third) but seventh on construction work done, unemployment and equipment investment," it says.
The rankings in the reports are calculated based on improvement when compared with a 10-year average.
The previous State of the States report, in April, said the ACT economy's national ranking could slip further due to lack of momentum caused by cuts in the public service.
The new report card makes no changes in the rankings of states and territories on economic activity.
"The ACT economy has retained sixth position on economic performance," it says, for the June quarter against the decade average.
The territory ranks third on economic growth and housing finance but is ranked seventh on three indicators.
Economic activity is up 16.5 per cent, for the quarter.
"The ACT now has the fastest annual economic growth rate in the nation, up by 4 per cent on a year ago, ahead of Victoria with 3.9 per cent and NSW, 1.4 per cent," the CommSec Research report says.
NSW is strongest in annual growth of real retail trade, up 4.1 per cent, with the ACT next, up 4.0 per cent.
"Looking at monthly retail trade, the strongest annual growth is in NSW, up 5.5 per cent, from Victoria, up 4.7 per cent, and the ACT, up 4.4 per cent, so it is clear which states are leading the way on consumer spending.
"The trend jobless rate in the ACT of 5.1 per cent is second lowest of all economies.
"But this jobless rate is actually up 43.3 per cent on its normal or decade-average rate of 3.6 per cent, making it seventh on this indicator – that is, one of the worst, not best, performing states and territories on the indicator.
"In three of the states and territories – NSW, Victoria and ACT – trend housing finance commitments are above decade averages.
Mr Barr said the CommSec report notes the "ACT is best on housing finance and economic growth".
"This is no small achievement given the extent of the Liberals' cuts to jobs and spending," he said.
"In addition, recent ABS data on retail trade, population growth, building approvals and building commencements all show that the territory economy is turning the corner.
"For example, ABS figures issued last week show that there was a 76 per cent increase in dwelling commencements in the June quarter of this year. In the year to June, dwelling commencements increased by 42 per cent."
Mr Barr said these results were "very strong" and demonstrated confidence in the territory's economy and the housing sector.
"It is a sign that home buyers, investors, and the building and construction sector are confident about growth in our economy," he said.
"The rebound in growth in our economy supports the territory government's strategy of sensible stimulus of the economy through infrastructure investment in response to the Commonwealth's cuts was the right one.
"It's also important to note that the CommSec report doesn't necessarily indicate how the ACT economy is performing currently."
Last week a report warned that the federal public service could be hit with another round of swinging cuts to rescue the budget from a "sea of red ink".
