Book launch: Crying Meri by Vlad Sokhin exposes violence against PNG's women

Photojournalist Vlad Sokhin has risked his life to document and raise awareness of gender and sorcery-related violence in Papua New Guinea. One of the results of his work, which he has undertaken since January 2012, was the book Crying Meri: Violence Against Women in Papua New Guinea. It is being launched at Parliament House on Tuesday at 7.30am in partnership with international aid agency ChildFund Australia.
