Canberra SpringOut Pride Festival is on again during November. And in a stroke of good luck for the festival, British actor, TV presenter and prominent gay figure Stephen Fry this week announced a string of Australian shows, with the Canberra gig on November 14 coinciding with the festival.

Not ones to let such an opportunity pass them by, the festival is now reaching out on social media with the hashtag #GetStephentoSpringOUT to get Fry to attend.
Fry is touring Australia in 2015.
Fry, who is very active on Twitter, is yet to respond to the pleas.

- This Sunday from 11am, join an ancient celebration of cider and apple trees at Braidwood at the Wassail Festival.
