Canberra's Griffin Centre celebrates 50 years in Civic

Now managed by the ACT government, the Griffin Centre was originally constructed on the corner of Bunda and Genge streets in Civic, on the opposite side of the road from where it currently stands. There, as the first centre of its kind in Australia, it served a multitude of community organisations, and its rooms were alive with the sounds of conversation, laughter, music, singing, and dancing.
