But visiting Canberra Labor MP Gai Brodtmann's office this week, we couldn't wait to share this little item with readers – the Chris Uhlmann doll.
Well, not quite. It's actually a Bruce Wayne doll – you know the billionaire industrialist who becomes Batman to fight crime in Gotham City? But it's also a dead-ringer for Uhlmann, the ABC's senior political reporter and Brodtmann's husband.
"Right down to the part in the hair," Brodtmann said, with a laugh.
Journalist Lyndal Curtis, who obviously also saw the similarities, alerted the couple to the doll and Brodtmann swiftly ordered one.
The "Chris" doll now takes pride of place in Brodtmann's office along with a few other treasures that will be revealed next week.
Brodtmann joked the Chris doll reminded her what her husband looked like, the couple both keeping up hectic schedules.
The man himself said the 1960s Batman series was one of his favourite shows as a kid, not realising at the time it was high camp.
"I have always wanted to be Batman and this is about as close as I am ever likely to get," Uhlmann said.
We also speak to Labor MP for Fenner Andrew Leigh and ACT Senators Katy Gallagher and Zed Seselja about what they keep in their office, from children's artwork to sculptures and paintings from the Parliament House collection.
