Our pick of what to do in Canberra this weekend.

1. CHRISTMAS IN GLEBE PARK

The Christmas lights and celebrations will run in Glebe Park right up until Christmas with different entertainment every weekend including Christmas movies under the stars, goat yoga and live entertainment. Weekend one will have lighting displays, Santa, an elf, carollers, a painted gingerbread cubby house, jumping castles, a Nerf arena and maze. There will also be food from a range of food markets including Kokomo's, Bombolini, Hungry Brown Cows, Hello Hanoi, Pimp My Chimney, Le Petit Breton, Gozleme Cafe and a pop-up bar from Capital Brewing Co. The event opens from 5pm on Friday, and entertainment runs Saturday and Sunday noon-10pm. You can head along any night until Christmas, with the light installations open nightly, plus further entertainment on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Entry is by donation to Red Nose.
