But a hairdresser from each is headed to work at one of the biggest fashion events in the world next week – New York Fashion Week.
Craig Rhodes, who owns Smitten Hairdressing in Tuggeranong, will head over for his third stint at the event, which runs from September 10-17.
While Craig said he hasn't had any notable celebrity sightings, "[Vogue editor] Anna Wintour came by and popped her head in once but I missed it by about half an hour".
Also heading over is Kathryn Ilijoski, who has owned 121 Hair in Queanbeyan for a decade. This will be her first time working at New York Fashion Week.
Both hairdressers have worked together at Fashfest in Canberra, along with other fashion weeks around the country, and Craig said they'll try to catch up which they're in the Big Apple.
