The Westside Container Village may be bound for Stromlo Forest Park, but one of the lakeside venue's former shipping containers is headed for life on a truffle farm.

The shipping container that formerly housed popular charcoal chicken joint Habibiz was purchased by the Truffle Farm owner Jayson Mesman, and has been moved out to the Majura farm.
Mesman said the he saw the shipping container for sale on Facebook, and bought it to use as a shopfront outside the Truffle Farm.
"Because it's a small farm and just myself and Damien [Brabender, the farm's executive chef] running the events, we found we were missing a lot of people that wanted to purchase our truffle products because we have to lock the gates. And with a lot of the traffic heading to the snow fields, they want to buy truffles on their way down and it was unfortunate we couldn't be in two places at once," Mesman said.
"So with Westside closing down we decided to purchase one of the containers so that will just be a little add on where people can buy our products - the fresh truffles, the salts, the honeys, and the truffle cheese, which was extremely popular last year."
Brabender and Mesman are giving the shipping container a paint and rebranding it as 'Funguys'.
"People will be able to have a coffee, bacon and egg rolls, that kind of stuff, purchase truffle products, and they can then buy tickets to events on the farm."
Funguys will be opening at the front gate of the Truffle Farm, 23 Mount Majura Rd, Majura.
