A jam-packed line-up is set to take the stage from 5pm. Canberra bands Big Boss Groove and Lavers will be up first, followed by The X-Factor winner Dami Im - who will be joined by fellow contestant Mary Ann Van der Horst.
Dom Lavers, one quarter of Lavers, said the band was thrilled to be playing outdoors at picturesque Googong.
"We're really excited to play at the Googong festival because we've been locked away recording for the last six months," he said.
"We've been out at our drummer's new studio, Studio 68 in Belconnen, and it's nice to see the light of day and play to people."
Dom said Lavers hoped to get the crowd clapping and singing along to their family-friendly beats.
"We ve got quite a broad appeal, I think," he said.
"We can get the kids dancing, we can get the mums into our music, we cover all demographics... I'm in the band with my brother, so I guess you could say we're suited to a family fun day."
"We've only come out really for special occasions, because you get so side tracked when you're playing shows every week."
"We're really excited to play out at Googong.
"We've got a lot of new songs that we're hoping to unveil and road-test, and see how they go with the crowd."
A range of food stalls, including Mr Papa Peruvian, woodfired pizza and My Sweet Alice homemade treats, will be available to purchase at Googfest.
Free shuttle buses will be picking up from Queanbeyan interchange at 4.15pm and from bay 18 at Woden interchange from 4pm. Return buses will depart Googong at 9.30pm.
