Sonja Mamic from Gordon has been vegan for three years, and said she chose the way of eating after she, "found out that cows have best friends."

As the ACT winner, Mamic gets a t-shirt, bag and voucher for vegan cafe Sweet Bones Bakery in Braddon.

The competition was modelled on PETA's Sexiest Vegan Celebrity competition, and is the first time in Australia for the non-celebrity version.

Participants entered themselves online and winners were selected by a team at PETA.
