He's still only 12 but Callum McPhie's rock credentials keep building as he met his heavy metal heroes, DragonForce, when the British band played in Canberra on Thursday night.

The band were well aware of the pint-sized rocker who performed DragonForce's Through the Fire and Flames in the grand final of Australia's Got Talent last year - when he was just a 10-year-old.
Callum not only got VIP tickets to the band's show at The Basement in Belconnen as part of their epic world tour, he was called up on stage for their encore performance of Through the Fire and Flames.
The band started a chant of "Callum, Callum" and thanked him for introducing their music to a mainstream Australian television.
Callum also had his guitar signed by rock god Herman Li and was given drummer Gee Anzalone's personal drumsticks.
The youngster, who went to the gig with his parents, Doug McPhie and Melissa Freeman, was treated like rock royalty from the moment he entered the darkened venue and the family felt, at times, that they were experiencing their "own private concert".
"Last night was one of the best experiences I've had in the last 12 years," Callum told us.
The amazing link-up comes just over a year after Callum met another heavy metal legend, Ozzy Osbourne whose daughter, Kelly, was one of the judges on AGT and championed the schoolboy guitarist.
Aside from his music, Callum is continuing to also kick goals with his studies. He's progressed into year eight and is already doing year 10 advanced maths. Rock on Callum!
