On Friday, a new chapter was written in the history of one of Australia's most celebrated artists, Albert Namatjira (1902-1959). At the National Museum of Australia, the Namatjira Legacy Trust was launched with two of Namatjira's granddaughters, artists Lenie Namatjira and Gloria Pannka, signing the trust deed with the director of Arts Law, Delwyn Everard. The ceremony took place in front of the museum's exhibition of works by the Namatjira family in the Landmarks Gallery.
