Gallery director Angus Trumble stars in the dance video which features staff wearing Hugh Jackman masks doing a bit of light dancing to the strains of the Kylie hit Can't Get You Out of My Head.
There are no gold hotpants in sight but there are plenty of forklift frolics and office cubicle dance moves.
It's all part of the Museum Dance Off - an informal competition where staff from museums and institutions around the world make silly dance videos which the internet-going public can vote on.
The Portrait Gallery was up against some stiff competition - including Monticello, the historic home of Thomas Jefferson, where staff get gangster to the sounds of Flo-Rida's hip hop party tune Welcome to My House.
Trumble has proven pretty fearless when it comes to matters of fun - he also featured in the Portrait Gallery's previous dance-off video, which was set to Janelle Monae's Tightrope, and tweeted up a storm in support of it.
