The Rio Olympics might be over but you can still keep the samba spirit going. The Brazilian Association of Canberra is throwing a party - where you can enjoy all the best bits of Rio without the tedious double sculling, dressage qualifying or canoe sprinting.

They're promising capoeira martial arts demonstrations, samba dance performances, drumming, "Brazilian rock and roll" and hopefully plenty of tasty Carioca food and beer.
Entry is free but places are limited to about 150, so it might be best to hop onto the association's Facebook page and book a spot. It's on Saturday, September 17, from 6pm. Parkinson Street, Weston. See facebook.com.
