I started the ANU Medical Revue because: I wanted medical students to have a creative outlet to let off steam. It was also a healthy way to poke a little fun at ourselves. Due to their perfectionism, medical students are great performers because they always learn their lines, songs and dance moves! There is always a lot of hidden musical talent amongst the cohort. Since its inception, the revue has gone from strength to strength and I'm very proud that it continues as a yearly tradition that raises money for charity in the process.

My proudest moment as a performer was: playing Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz in a sellout season in my home town of Rockhampton. Peter Allen himself had performed on that very stage and there was something magical about Allen's connection to the community that resonated with the audience and with the cast.

My most embarrassing moment performing was: Fortunately I don't have any really embarrassing on-stage moments. Although, I have had my fair share of fake tans, unruly beards, hair dyes and other alterations to my appearance that look pretty silly off the stage. I guess it's suffering for my art!

Playing Che in Evita is: a dream role for me. I have loved the music since I was young and I am grateful and excited to be able to play Che in what I believe is one of the best musicals ever written, certainly the best I believe by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Che was also a doctor so I feel connected to the character on that level as well. I performed in the children's chorus for Evita in Rockhampton when I was 12 and it's great to be able to revisit the material. Philo's upcoming production has a wonderful cast and promises to be a spectacular production.

Apart from performing and medicine I enjoy: relaxing with my family and friends, practicing my nerdy circus hobbies (magic and juggling) and checking out Canberra's great restaurants.
