If you missed singing star Adele when she toured Australia, or you need a reminder of what she was like, Rumour Has It might be just the ticket. Naomi Price from The Voice Australia stars as Adele and comes to Queanbeyan after from seasons at the Sydney Opera House, Hamer Hall and Adelaide Cabaret Festival. She performs cabaret-style, inhabiting the persona of Adele and sharing stories with the audience both funny and touching as well as singing hits like Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to the Rain, Chasing Pavements, Hello and Skyfall. The show evokes the spirit and talent of the mischievous working class diva from Tottenham as she reveals intimate details about her meteoric rise to international stardom.
Both Price and her partner, Luke Kennedy, who is one of her back-up singers, appeared on The Voice with Kennedy making it to the finals. Also noteworthy is the fact that the back-up singers for Rumour Has It were chosen to be back-up singers for Adele's recent Australian tour, so we can expect they will be familiar with the songs they perform in this concert.
