In the Southern Highlands, The Loch, Berrima is taking the humble Sunday roast to the next level at their Autumn Foodie Field Day: Festival of the Roast on May 21.
The lunch includes a seven course degustation by farmer and chef Brigid Kennedy, each course a variation on the Sunday roast.
Courses will be matched with local red wines, and served under the vines beside a roaring fire. Local producers will also dine with guests to share stories about the produce everyone is tucking into.
The Loch, Berrima holds the Foodie Field Day every season, serving up what's ripe on the vine, trees and fields of their farm.
Festival of the Roast is on Sunday May 21, midday-4pm. $95 per person for the seven course degustation, or $145 per person with matched wines. Book at theloch.net.au/events/.
