Velvet at the Playhouse takes audiences back to the disco era

A plain-dressed young man steps into a magical world of disco and cabaret and circus he could never have imagined and is transformed. While there's not a lot of story in Velvet, which opened at the Playhouse on Thursday night, that seems to be beside the point. As its musical director, Joe Accaria, who also plays the DJ, said, "It's a lot of fun."
