While the ACT government sells its tram as a way to reduce congestion on Northbourne Avenue, its own analysis finds more cars, increased travel times and longer delays on the drive home from work.
Traffic signals will give priority to trams along the corridor from Gungahlin to the city, with traffic lights programmed to detect the approach of a tram and change to allow it through. But the analysis suggests changes might be needed to plans for the major Northbourne Avenue and Federal Highway intersections to reduce delays to other traffic.
The new documents also reveal the planned closure of the London Circuit carpark opposite the Melbourne Building during the four-year construction, when it will be taken over as a construction compound, with the loss of 250 carparks.

The Matildas sealed their progression to the quarter finals of the 2015 FIFA World Cup with one of the biggest upsets of the tournament by stunning one of the favourites Brazil.
Substitute Kyah Simon struck the only goal of the match that sealed the first ever knock-out stage victory for any senior Australia team at a World Cup. Canberra goalkeeper Lydia Williams was the hero with a string of several fine saves.

- The Queensland Firebirds beat the NSW Swifts to take out the ANZ Championship trophy after Gretel Tippett sunk the winning shot with less than 20 seconds left in the title decider. It gave Queensland the lead for the first time all day, and coach Roselee Jencke said her charges "probably got the perfect last minute right".
- A sports doctor says he could not even contemplate standing over a golf ball while suffering from vertigo and described Jason Day's effort to fight through the "severely incapacitating" condition in the third round of the US Open as "Herculean".
- Victoria Fury shooter Emma Ryde thwarted the Canberra Darters' hopes of pulling off an upset on Sunday.

Canberra couple Samantha and Hayley Wilson, who tied the knot when gay marriage was legal for a brief window in the ACT in 2013, delivered a powerful case for a free vote at a rally on Sunday.
Among the keynote speakers, the couple said having their marriage taken away when the High Court struck down the ACT law was "mortifying" and left them "gutted".

Canberrans great and small, limber and stiff, turned out to salute the sun and celebrate International Yoga Day on Old Parliament House's lawns on Sunday morning.
