CommSec's State of the States report, published today, says the ACT remains the third ranked economy in the nation, behind NSW and Victoria.
However, the ACT Government is warning the Coalition's budget presents a "crossroads" for the federal government's attitude towards the future of Canberra.
"They can do the right thing by Canberrans and invest in our city or they can make good on their threat to sack more Canberrans," Chief Minister Andrew Barr told Fairfax Media.
