The arrival in the capital of Australia's future king Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, sparked only small crowds but substantial traffic chaos as Remembrance Day, royal traffic protocols and steady drizzle combined to create a perfect storm for drivers on Canberra's roads.

"Angry" captain Mile Jedinak will lead out a Socceroos side intent on launching a Canberra crusade to get its World Cup qualification campaign back on track.
Meanwhile, Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou is unimpressed with the standard of the Canberra Stadium playing surface ahead of Thursday night's crucial World Cup qualifier against Kyrgyzstan.

Wednesday was a day Yass man Peter Walker had been waiting for for many years.
Back in 1972, he was a member of the Canberra Polo Club, and was lucky enough to play against Prince Philip during his and Queen Elizabeth's visit to Canberra. In fact, the Prince rode Mr Walker's Pony, Buttons.
