A north Canberra man whose body was found dumped in grassland more than two weeks after he vanished has been farewelled at an interstate funeral.

The remains of Andrew Carville, 52, were discovered during a police line search of defence land at Majura on November 19.
His family and friends attended a graveside service at Noraville Cemetery on the NSW Central Coast on Friday morning.
Mr Carville was last seen alive when he helped a former housemate move items from his Evatt home on November 4.
Police have released few details about the mysterious death and are yet to lay any charges.
They questioned the owner of a ute that was seen at the house that night and later found dumped in bushland at Molonglo Gorge days before the body was found.
The man had been subjected to forensic tests and police said he could not be ruled out as a suspect in the killing.
Detectives previously put a call out for public information on the movements of the man's 1986 cream-coloured Toyota LandCruiser, which they believed was linked to Mr Carville's death.
Residents and several people who helped with the move had also been identified as persons of interest and officers had seized numerous items for forensic tests.
A preliminary autopsy report gave police a strong indication of how Mr Carville died but they have refused to release those details, only saying the cause of death was a "key element" in the investigation.
Police are seeking bodycams and dashcam footage from motorists and cyclists who were travelling in the Majura area between November 4 and 15.
The homicide squad hoped footage from Majura Road, Sutton Road, Pialligo Avenue or Macs Reef Road would shed light on the movements of the Toyota LandCruiser.
His mother, Audrey Carville, who lives on the Central Coast, previously told Fairfax Media she was in shock when police told said they believed the dead body was Mr Carville.
"We just can't bring our minds around it," she said.
Friends from Canberra remembered Mr Carville as a loving man and gentle soul who "wouldn't hurt a fly".
The death is the fifth homicide in the ACT in 2015.
