It's ACT Budget week and Chief Minister Andrew Barr has given the Canberra Times a hint of what's to come on Tuesday afternoon.

He's confirmed a 7 per cent rates rise and a bigger hit for the owners of units, but has assured us that Canberrans should not expect further revenue "shocks".
