Part of Canberra Olympic Pool has reopened after the ACT government investigated serious leaks that have cast doubt over the future of outdoor swimming at the facility.

Sport and Recreation Minister Shane Rattenbury said numerous leaks were found while the indoor and outdoor pools were shut from the start of April.
The outdoor pools will remain closed for winter but the indoor 50-metre pool was reopened on Friday.
The government is now waiting for a report to determine whether the pools could be fixed and how much the repairs would cost.
"Once we have this information we will then be able to make a clear decision on the future of the outdoor pools and whether they can be reopened for the summer season," Mr Rattenbury said.
Mr Rattenbury previously said about 19 million litres a year had been leaking, including from an outdoor diving pool and a children's swimming pool, equivalent to the loss of the entire volume of an Olympic-size pool every two weeks.
The leaks, thought to date back to 2012, had cost about $100,000 per year.
"The Canberra Olympic Pool is an ageing facility, and while we anticipate that approximately 70 per cent of the leaks are a result of the outdoor dive and toddler pools, the investigations that were carried out this week have allowed us to investigate any leaks that may also be attributable to the indoor structure."
