Canberra real estate firm Luton Properties lights up for Enlighten - and urges people to take part in the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Ignite Walk in April

Luton Properties is embracing the spirit of the Enlighten Festival by lighting up its Manuka office in the company colour blue.

While the Enlighten Festival, which continues until March 18, is the preserve of government buildings, real estate agent Richard Luton has funded his own light show on the Luton Manuka office in Bougainville Street.

The festival was fantastic for Canberra and Luton wanted to add his support.

"It's had a great response on social media," he said.

But the lighting up of community spirit doesn't end there.

Luton Properties is also sponsoring the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Ignite Walk on Saturday, April 7.

The walk will be along two courses this year.

There will be a 5km family-friendly, bridge-to-bridge walk around Lake Burley Griffin starting at 7pm.

There will also be a half-marathon (21km) dusk-to-dark city route, starting at 4.30pm.

The walk kicks off with a Neon Ignite Party starting from 4pm at Patrick White Lawns.

There will be food stalls and chance to get your face painted with neon, glow-in-the-dark face paint.

Other neon products will be for sale on the night.

Funds raised from Ignite Walk 2018 will be used to support young people and adults living with cerebral palsy in the Canberra community.  Groups and individuals set up their own fundraising page.

Cerebral Palsy Alliance ACT now operates from a purpose built centre in Scullin and provides a range of therapy services to more than 500 people.
