The 21-year-old Home and Away actress has had several approaches from agents wanting to represent her in Hollywood and will be flying to Los Angeles on Thursday to help pick the best one for her.
She will have an able assistant in dad Simon Weaving, former artistic director of the Canberra International Film Festival.
Weaving said he wouldn't be sitting in on the meetings but his contacts within and knowledge of the industry might come in handy.
"It was one of those things we've been talking about for a long time and I guess I sit somewhere between dad and professional helper," he said, with a laugh.
Samara says she has been given a two-week break from filming Home and Away to pursue career avenues in Los Angeles.
"Nothing is sort of set in stone but it's all kind of exciting," she said.
"I really respect versatile actors so I'd really like to throw myself in the deep end. I've been thinking about doing comedy a lot lately so it would be cool to be involved in a really well-written, well-produced comedy."
She will be catching up with some Home and Away alumni such Esther Anderson and Axle Whitehead who are already in the US.
"There's a few of them over there doing really, really well and and it's going to be fun having a bit of a reunion with the old gang," she said.
Samara said she would also head to London where her boyfriend British model Rob Moore has returned home. The young actress said she was coping with her rising fame including the interest of paparazzi.
"I like to stay around grounded people and plus I'm working so much I don't get out too much," she said.
