Firefighters and paramedics remain at the home on Newman Morris Circuit in Oxley, after a woman drove her car into the front of the house about 1.50pm.
The Emergency Services Authority said paramedics had treated the driver of the vehicle, a 40-year-old woman, at the scene.
The ESA said the woman was being treated for a medical condition, and was to be taken to Canberra Hospital.
The driver was the only person in the car when it crashed.
The house had some structural damage, with a broken window and frame. There was nobody home at the time of the incident.
