A car fire has sparked a grass fire in the Coree district Wednesday morning.

An Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said firefighters were called to a car fire at Brindabella Road and East West Road about 8.10am.
The car was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, sparking a grass fire.
ACT Fire & Rescue and Rural Fire Service firefighters used a forestry dozer to create containment lines.
Both fires were extinguished as of 9.30am.
