Concern for accused drunk driver's 3yo

February 9, 2012

A woman who allegedly crashed her car while drink driving this morning may have left her three-year-old at home unsupervised, according to police.

Police were called to a crash scene at the corner of Sulwood Drive and Inkster Street in Kambah about 1am.

Witnesses told police that the driver had fled from the single-vehicle crash before authorities arrived.

Officers then went to a home in Kambah and found a 25-year-old woman.

She failed a roadside screening test and was taken to Tuggeranong Police Station, where she recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.158.

Police believe the woman may have left her three-year-old at home while drink driving.

She has had her licence suspended and will face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
