Construction worker shocked at Duntroon site
Ambulance crews took a construction worker to hospital after he suffered an electric shock on the grounds of the Royal Military College at Duntroon this morning.
Emergency services were called to the site at General Bridges Drive, Duntroon, at 11.46am where they treated the 28-year-old man for injuries and took him to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
A company manager confirmed WorkSafe ACT was onsite but refused to make further comment.
The incident comes after a worker at the Nishi construction site in Acton fell 5 metres down a shaft late last month.
There have been four fatalities on Canberra work sites in the past 12 months.
