Shane Mitchell Walden, 22, admitted to biting the woman's nose and contravening a protection order that dictated he must stay 100 metres away from her at all times.

Magistrate Robert Cook on Friday found Walden guilty of two counts of common assault and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm over the incident at Bruce in April.

But Walden was acquitted of a further charge of common assault and choking the woman until she lost consciousness.

The court heard Walden had contact with the woman several times at the Groovin' the Moo music festival and sent her text messages to meet later that night at her Bruce home.

They had sex at the house about 11pm, and after Walden fell asleep, the victim accessed his phone and found messages from another woman.

She then climbed onto the bed and bit Walden on the penis, causing him to jolt awake in ''excruciating pain''.

Walden pushed her off the bed into a mirror and she then punched him in the face. He then struck her in the face, choked her and said he would choke her tighter if she did not quieten down.

''She screamed until she couldn't scream any more,'' prosecutor Anna Jamieson-Williams said.

Walden then bit the woman on her nose, shoulder and finger.

Another woman at the house said she heard ''howling'' from the bedroom. She said a ''smirking'' Walden left a short time later.

But Mr Cook found this could have been a grimace due to his pain.

Walden then went to a Mckellar property and showed his penis to two of his friends, who described seeing toothmarks and blood.

''I am satisfied she did, in fact, bite him on the penis, which caused him to wake up suddenly,'' Mr Cook said.

He found Walden not guilty of pushing the woman off the bed and into a mirror, as this was in self-defence after she bit him. But he said the actions that followed were excessive due to Walden's size, as he was larger than the woman.

''When the complainant punched the defendant, the defendant carried on to an extent that was unreasonable in the circumstances,'' he said.

Walden was ordered to reappear before the court in December.
