The figures were released together with those showing 139 motorists were caught speeding on ACT roads over the long weekend last week, as police look to target those ignoring speed limits in October.
ACT Policing's Superintendent Rod Anderson said the running of red lights was the most serious traffic control offence observed last month, and reminded drivers of traffic light rules.
"If it's safe to do so, stop at a yellow (light) - if possible you need to stop."
Sergeant Mark Steel said last weekend's speeding numbers were frustrating.
"It is frustrating, and I think it's frustrating for the community as well," he said.
"There is no safe speeding.
