Cars crashed across Canberra on Thursday morning as wet weather continued to whip the capital.

There was a sprinkling of rain from about 5am to 9am Thursday, with 1.2 millimetres recorded at the Bureau of Meteorology's Canberra Airport rain gauge.
The Bureau is predicting a possible thunderstorm Thursday afternoon or evening alongside a top of 15 degrees.
A shower or two is forecast for Friday, most likely in the early morning, before a possible shower on Saturday.
Friday is expected to reach 15 degrees after an overnight minimum of 2 degrees.
Saturday and Sunday are both forecast to top 13 degrees, after respective overnight drops of 0 and -3 degrees.
Police urged drivers to be more careful on the region's slippery roads as rain fell Thursday morning, particularly during times of low visibility.
The traffic chaos began in Barton with a two car crash on Brisbane Avenue just before 8.30am.
An ACT Policing spokesman said two cars collided near Macquarie Street, outside John Curtin House, blocking two lanes of Brisbane Avenue traffic.
Police directed traffic until the cars could be towed.
Another two-car collision on the Tuggeranong Parkway before 9am wreaked havoc during the morning peak-hour commute with reports of delays as far away as Hindmarsh Drive.
A police spokesman said the north-bound rear-ender near Cotter Road sparked traffic congestion as Canberrans headed to work.
By 9.05am the road was clear.
Further north another two crashes slowed traffic in Gungahlin.
Four cars collided on Well Station Drive at Gungahlin Drive in Franklin just after 9am.
A police spokeswoman said one car blocked part of the road before it could be towed. By 9.30am it had been moved out of the way.
A couple of blocks away a ute flipped on its side on Hoskins Street just before 9.30am, blocking the road.
An Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said the man behind the wheel was not taken to hospital.
A police spokesman said the single-vehicle crash blocked a Gungahlin-bound lane of traffic near Lysaght Street before it could be towed.
Rain has also closed a number of roads around the ACT.
A Territory and Municipal Services spokesman said Point Hut Crossing, Sunshine Crossing, Angle Crossing and Mount Franklin Road at Aggie Gate remained closed, as of 3pm Thursday.
The wet weather has also closed Boboyan Road, where the road becomes dirt, to all cars except four-wheel-drives.
