Two separate car crashes on the Tuggeranong Parkway caused traffic chaos for motorists on Monday morning.

ACT Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Tuggeranong Parkway near Lady Denman Drive shortly before 8am. A second accident was reported about 20 minutes later, 500 metres south of the National Aquarium and Zoo.
An ACT Police spokeswoman said traffic had slowed to a halt near the Bruce Stadium shortly before 10am and asked motorists to avoid the road if possible.
Street sweepers were called in to respond to fluid and debris that had spilled on to the road.
Police declared the road clear at 10.40am and said traffic delays had subsided.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said Fire and Rescue units responded to the two incidents although no one was taken to hospital with injuries.
In a separate incident, a two-car collision outside the Evatt Primary School on Heydon Crescent caused further traffic congestion about 8.30am.
An Emergency Service Agency spokesman said one person was taken to hospital with a minor wrist injury. Police report fuel spilled onto the road although the scene has now been cleared.
