While official figures aren’t yet available, it is expected almost 15,000 people turned up to the annual music festival, with handfuls of tickets still available at the gate on Sunday.
Despite heavy cloud cover for most of the day, expected early showers held off and temperatures stayed below the forecast 16 degrees.
Police said there had been no major incidents at the event, and that the crowd had been well-behaved.
While most spent the day lugging around coats and scarves for when the sun dropped, many vied for the title of most inappropriately dressed, wearing tiny shorts and singlet tops.
Others used it as an opportunity to don a onesie, with multiple cow outfits also roaming the fields.
Clothing choices aside, the crowd collectively looked to be enjoying the lineup which included international acts Disclosure, Dizzee Rascal and Naked and Famous.
Local acts The Jezebels, The Preset and Vance Joy also pulled big crowds.
This year’s Groovin The Moo marked the fifth time the regional music festival had returned to Canberra.
The Canberra show marked the third day in a row of touring, having kicked off on Friday with a show in Oakbank, South Australia, followed by Saturday's festival in Maitland.
The acts will stay on the road for three more shows in Bendigo, Townsville and Bunbury.
