A Wanniassa man charged at police with a carving knife while telling them to taser him, a court has heard. Daniel Quis, 21, of Wanniassa, was arrested after he allegedly leapt from bushes outside a Calwell home and challenged police while holding a 30-centimetre knife on March 14.

He applied for bail for a second time in the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Court documents said Quis had been shirtless and bloodied and appeared mentally disturbed or under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he confronted police about 7pm.
The court heard officers initially backed away and tried to negotiate with Quis to disarm himself.
But Quis allegedly waved the knife above his head in a threatening manner and said: ''Come on … Taser me. You don't have a Taser.''
He then allegedly ran at police but stopped when one of the officers prepared to draw his firearm. Quis became irate and repeatedly challenged police to try to unarm him.
A second police car then arrived and an officer drew his gun and yelled, ''Stop. Drop the knife'', court documents said.
Quis allegedly then threw the weapon away and was arrested.
He was charged with weapon possession and common assault.
Quis made his second bid for freedom before Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker on Wednesday.
Prosecutors opposed bail.
Defence lawyer Jan De Bruin said his client would be supervised and supported by his mother and workers from various ACT agencies, including Directions ACT, if released.
But prosecutor Anthony Williamson said the supervision regime had already failed to prevent the alleged offences before the court.
Mr Williamson said the court could have no confidence it would cause a fundamental shift in the accused's behaviour.
Ms Walker refused Quis bail, saying the defendant's issues were being addressed but were not yet under control.
She said the support on offer would not be sufficient to reduce the risk to himself and the community.
Ms Walker ordered a forensic mental health report be prepared.
Quis will reappear next month.
