Daylight robbery at chemist

Jacqueline Williams
February 16, 2012

Police are looking for a balaclava-wearing bandit who stole medicine from a Canberra chemist this morning. He fled the scene on a motorbike.
The man allegedly robbed Capital Chemist in Higgins at about 10.40am, police say.
He entered the store, threatened staff and demanded they give him some prescription medicine.
After staff complied he left the shops on a black motorcycle.
The offender was about 173cm tall and had an average build. He was wearing a black Adidas hooded top, dark coloured pants and jeans. His face was covered by a balaclava and a black full face motorcycle helmet.
‘‘Police would specifically like to speak to a man and a woman who were standing outside the store during the robbery,’’ an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
Witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
