Residents in Deakin could find discoloured water coming from their taps on Tuesday next week due to ACTEW Water maintenance work in the area.

ACTEW Water has alerted Deakin residents to essential work which may cause water discolouration in Empire Circuit, Northcote Crescent and Gawler Crescent.

In a statement, ACTEW Water said attempting to flush the water would not work and they were unable to say to what degree the water would be affected.
Customers were also advised not to use washing machines or dishwashers on Tuesday morning as it may stain clothes and clog filters.
They said if residents experience discoloured water in the afternoon they should call the ACTEW Water helpline on 6248 3111.
