The RSPCA ACT is calling on participants to help break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as dogs.
The record attempt is part of the 2018 Million Paws Walk, RSPCA ACT's major fundraiser, on Sunday May 20.
The official count will be between 10am and 10.30am at the Patrick White Lawns in front of the National Library.
To participate, you don't have to have a dog, just look like one. So how does one pass as a human dog as far as Guinness World Records is concerned?
"The rules are that participants must be dressed from head to toe including some sort of head piece that includes ears, and they must be clearly recognisable as a dog," said RSPCA CEO Tammy Ven Dange.
"So a dog onesie counts. The biggest thing is they must have something on their head that goes all the way down to their toes."
To get in the record books, participants don't have to wear a tail, although Tammy said, "it's awfully cute if they do".
The current record for the largest gathering of people dressed as dogs is 439 people, held by an organisation in the UK.
If they secure the record, it will be the third Guinness World Record for RSPCA ACT. They claimed the record for the 'most dogs wearing bandanas' at the 2015 Million Paws Walk - a huge 764 dogs took part.
They again made the record books later that year after rescuing Chris the Sheep, with his mammoth 41.1 kilogram fleece setting a new world record.
If you share an uncanny likeness to your pet pooch, there are also prizes for the owners who look most like their dog.
