An off duty police officer reported the 40-year-old Weston man's driving to police about 5.10pm after he saw him nearly crash into a parked car.
ACT Policing said the disqualified driver underwent a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result, before being taken to the City Police Station for a breath analysis.
He recorded a blood alcohol reading more than six times the maximum legal limit.
The man was arrested and charged for driving under a suspension notice, driving while disqualified and driving a car under the influence of alcohol.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court next month.
